Sunnyside Middle School Service - End of Term 2 Service Ideas and Opportunities - January 2018

"True service learning for social justice is a shared partnership!"

What are you going to do for your Term 2 service learning experience? How is this going to go beyond one-sided charity that doesn't build relationships? How will it go beyond your previous experiences, deepen connections, be 'two-sided,' and benefit all involved?

What service learning is NOT
-one-sided
-charity
-volunteering without connecting

What service learning IS
-two-sided
-mutually beneficial
-tied to outcomes
